We're looking for a Development & Engagement Officer

Role: Development & Engagement Officer  

Reports to: Director of development & Partnerships

Responsible for: providing sector-wide support and advice on organisational development, and engaging the sector in the conversations effecting it.  

Contract: Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week)

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Community Southwark (CS) is the main provider of support to the voluntary and community sector (VCS) in Southwark. We are looking for a Development & Engagement Officer who will engage with the VCS and individuals in Southwark to understand the needs of the sector, provide insights and influence policy and represent the sector at key meetings. In addition, the officer will provide support and advice around all aspects of organisational development with an emphasise on financial management. 

If you are passionate about the VCS and all it does and want to play a key role in developing the skills, knowledge, capabilities and capacity of the sector then this is the role for you! We are looking for passionate, dedicated person who will use their initiative and work well as part of a team to play a leading role in providing strategic support to develop a resilient voluntary and community sector in Southwark. The post holder will need to develop and support relationships with the voluntary, public and private sector.

The post holder will also have opportunities to line manage volunteers.
