United Way UK: Financial Literacy and Job-Readiness Programming

United Way UK fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every community.

It is launching a collective programme of financial literacy and job readiness training in the Greater London area in September 2019.

The programme aims include:

  • Increase the income & savings of 400 individuals through training and job readiness programming;
  • Demonstrate that 100 individuals have repaid loans through increased financial skills;
  • Place 50 individuals directly in employment through referral services.

United Way UK will engage a total of three partner organisations with the goal of each to achieve a single aim of the programme. The programme is expected to run over a three-year period.

Funds
A total of £14,400 is available to each selected partner. Projects should be able to start in October 2019.
